I had a great time. I highly recommend this place.
Their Halloween party is worth going to.
When it comes to the bar/drinks, Avalon is one of the worst night clubs I have been too!!!

I have never heard of a bar/club not giving out shots especially only at 11:00. However, they were apparently still giving out shots as the people next to me received shots in cups instead of in shot glasses and the bartender just thought we weren't smart enough to notice. We were completely sober though since we weren't allowed to have shots...so we noticed!! When I asked the bartender why they got shots he said "well they have been having the same drink all night so I am giving them what they want." Basically they were slipping him extra money, so they got shots. Very unprofessional!
My best friend and I went to this place. It was alright until our guys tried to get in: an Air Force veteran and a Navy guy. They wouldn't let them in for wearing tennis shoes. It didn't matter that the veteran had an open tab and two crushed disks in his back. Tennis shoes. By the way, I have a picture of a guy in tennis shoes in the club.
I went with a group of about 10 of us. We arrived at about 10:30pm and when we first got there we each had one shot and I got a glass of wine. The wine was awful, it had to have been boxed wine. Then when we tried to get more shots after only about 30 minutes of being at the club ( so the time was about 11:00pm) we were told that they were not giving out anymore shots, just cocktails (I didn't want cocktails because they made them so weak and were way over priced).
